Welcome to our 2017 winter newsletter. This is a smaller version, as Nicola our previous coordinator has now left, and so this one has been put together while we were recruiting her replacement. I am delighted to announce that we now have appointed Malcolm Stewart, who joined us at the start of November. He will no

doubt be making contact with you over the coming months. We are really excited

to have Malcolm join us, he brings lots of skills and we look forward to working

with him.

As Christmas approaches we know that as well as some very happy memories, these can be bitter sweet. For those who are facing their first Christmas without their loved one, we also know how daunting this can be. So we have added a few tips about how to get through the period, that you might helpful.

There sadly have been several very major tragic incidents in the UK over the past few months, and we have been asked for some suggestions about how to talk to children about these. We have added a few ideas and hope that you might find these of help.

On behalf of my fellow Trustees I would like to wish you very best wishes, and I do hope that 2018 brings with it some peace and good health. I would also like to thank you for your continued support and hope that we will meet again in 2018

With very best wishes

Anne Bone
